Foam additive etching 30ml

During etching using open baths with sodium hydroxide solution corrosive nebula and vapors are generated which can cause problems and are uncomfortable. This additive builds a thin foam layer on the bath surface and offer the following characteristics:

• Very fine, closed foam blanket
• Effective prevention of corrosive nebula
• Nearly complete surpression of oxyhydrogen explosions
• Contaminations (dust, organic materials, dirt etc.) are bound by the foam and can be removed by skimming easily.
• Supports a more equal etching characteristic
• Improves kind of flow and reduces staining
• Very productive - you start with 0,05ml(!) per litre. By using this dosing you can protect 600 litre of etching bath with 30ml.

You can also use this additive in sealing baths based on our seal salt.

Important note: this additive is not stable when used in acid mediums. Due to this we do not recommend it for anodising baths (containing sulfuric acid). For this bath please use our usual foam additive.
